As using a solid Japanese ash for a thick pillar and beam and oak wood for flooring, the timbers, cut down from Hokkaido’s forest, are used abundantly here. Trees in Hokkaido tend to be whitish so there are many light-skinned beautiful ladies. To bring out the texture’s attraction maximally, we make the best use of original tree colors without coloration.
Living room, kitchen, dining room and Japanese-style room are arranged as surrounding a garden like a Japanese Katakana “Ko”. Gentle natural light overflowingly comes into all over the house because the wood deck, extended from the large veranda window to the garden, has the same floor height as room interior and you can feel the exterior and the interior seem to become one. The house can be explained that it lives with light and receives the grace of the sun while living in the house.
